Pause, rewind & record

Watch your favourite shows when it suits you. With the ability to pause, rewind, record*, and enjoy a selection of shows on Catch-Up TV.

With the Mighty box you can use record over 500 hours of TV on its 1 terabyte hard drive. You can also use Series Tags to automatically record every episode of your favourite shows. Then we save them in folders, and sort by series and episode number so they're easy to find when you're ready to watch.

*Recording not available on the Mini. Rewinding is only available on the Mini box when a show has been paused.

Adding more channels

Channel packs can be added on a month-to-month basis. You can add one or multiple packs, with 5 to choose from:

  • Kids Pack (9 channels)

  • Vibe Pack (12 channels)

  • Variety Pack (9 channels)

  • Knowledge (19 channels)

  • Ultimate Pack (45+ channels, including all of the channels from the above packs)

 

Adding a channel pack

  1. Select Manage from the main menu and then choose Subscriptions.

  2. Use the directional keys to see available packs. Press ‘select’ to select your channel pack. Explore channels in pack using the directional keys.

  3. Press the green button to subscribe to a pack. Repeat to unsubscribe.

Subscriptions on channel packs are for a minimum of 1 month.

What do I need?

FetchTV is an IPTV service requiring an internet connection with a minimum speed of 3Mmps. 

An IPTV compatible modem is required and is supplied if you have a Dodo internet service.

In order to access free-to-air channels through your Fetch set top box, you will need a TV aerial.

Self help - No internet detected 

If you see a "No internet detected" on your set top box, troubleshoot by following the below steps.

 

  1. Ensure your modem/router is powered on

  2. Check your internet service is working correctly

  3. Ensure you have an Ethernet connection from the router to the fetch set-top box

  4. Power cycle both the set-top box (turn off for 10 seconds and turn back on again, click here for instructions) and modem/router

  5. Disconnect from any Powerline Adapter devices and connect Fetch Set Top Box directly to the modem/router

  6. Try different Ethernet ports on the modem/router

  7. Try a different Ethernet cable

  8. Reset your Fetch TV box (click here for instructions)

Free to air channel issues

If you are having issues with local free to air channels, try to following.

 

  1. Power cycle your Fetch Box (turn it off for 10 seconds and turn it back on, click here for instructions)

  2. Ensure your Antenna is securely connected to the Antenna port of the Fetch Box

  3. Ensure you have clear TV reception when connecting the Antenna directly to the TV (If the reception is poor you may have an antenna or cable issue)

  4. Perform a Channel Scan

  5. Ensure your channels are not Hidden (Channels > Manager Channels)

  6. Reset your Fetch Box (click here for instructions)

TV store

Accessing the TV store

In the TV Store you can buy individual episodes or full seasons of some of the most popular TV shows.

When you buy a TV episode or season you are buying the right to watch it as often as you like on your current Fetch subscription with your current Fetch Service Provider.

  1. Select TV Store from TV on the main menu and press ‘select’

  2. Select a TV show. The show names and number of seasons and episodes available are shown.

  3. Use the directional keys to navigate and ‘select’ to make your selection.

 

Making a purchase

  1. Use the directional keys to select show from TV Store and press ‘select’.

  2. From the Season details screen, you can select to watch the full screen trailer (if available), buy the season or add the show to your Wishlist in Menu > My Stuff > TV Shows.

  3. To buy an episode rather than the whole season, use the directional keys to highlight Episodes and press ‘select’. Choose the episode you’d like to purchase.

  4. To buy an episode or season, you’ll be asked to enter your Parental PIN and press ‘select’ . You can choose to buy the SD or HD format if available.

  5. If your purchase is successful the first available episode will download ready to play.

Activating your service

To activate your FetchTV service, you will need your 10 digit activation code, this will be sent to you via SMS and email when your hardware is dispatched.

To activate your service, first setup your FetchTV hardware. Once setup is complete, power up your FetchTV set top box and enter the activation code when prompted.

 

 

Blank screen or no display detected

If you have a blank screen try the following steps.

 

  1. Check RCA/HDMI cables are connected properly

  2. Ensure you are on the correct AV/HDMI channel

  3. Try different RCA/HDMI cables

  4. Power cycle your Fetch Box (turn it of for 10 seconds and turn it back on, click here for instructions)

  5. Try your RCA/HDMI cables on another device (e.g. DVD player)

  6. Reset your Fetch Box (click here for instructions)

Movie store

The Movie Store offers over 8000 movies to buy or rent, ready to watch whenever you want. The cost of movies you rent or buy will be added to your Fetch account.

When you buy or rent a movie you will be prompted to enter your PIN number. Go to Menu > Movies > Movie Store.

 

Renting and buying movies

When you rent a movie from the Movie Store you have 7 days to start watching, and 48 hours to watch from when you first press play.

You can watch the movie as often as you want during this time.

When you buy a movie you are buying the right to watch it as often as you like on your current Fetch subscription with your current Fetch Service Provider.

  1. To buy or rent a movie use the directional keys to select movie and press ‘select’.

  2. From the movie details screen, you can select to watch the full screen trailer (if available), rent or buy the movie or add the movie to your Wishlist.

  3. To get a movie you will be prompted to enter your Parental PIN and press ‘select’ . You can choose to rent or buy the SD or HD format if available.

  4. If your purchase is successful a “P“will replace the “$” on the title image and the movie will download ready to play.

 

Finding your movies

To find the movies you have rented or bought go to Menu > My Stuff > Movies > My Movies

Image quality issues

If your picture is pixelated or unclear while viewing try the following steps.

 

  1. Power cycle your Fetch box (turn it off for 10 seconds and turn it back on, click here for instructions)

  2. Check all streaming channels

  3. Ensure your internet speed check is above 3Mbps (refer to Speedtest)

  4. Power cycle your modem (turn it off for 10 seconds and then turn it back on)

  5. Bypass any Powerline Adapter devices

  6. Reset Fetch Box (click here for instructions)

 

Power cycle your Fetch box

If you need to power cycle you box, simply turn it off at at the power socket or locate and remove the power cable (back left corner of the unit) for 10 seconds, then re-connect to complete the power cycle.

Purchase limits

When buying or renting FetchTV content, there is a monthly limit of 5 purchases, this is to prevent you from "bill shock" at the end of your billing cycle. 

Once the limit has been reached you will see "You have reached the purchase limit of 5 in the last 30 days" displayed on your FetchTV box.

The limit will automatically reset at the end of your billing cycle.

In order to make additional purchases, please call us on 13 dodo (13 36 36) to remove the restriction.

Resetting your Fetch box

If you continue to have issues and need to rest your Fetch box, please follow the steps below.

After a reset, you’ll need to re-enter your Activation Code in the Welcome Screen.

 

Soft Reset

This will clear system file and restart the user interface, it will not affect your recordings.

Soft Factory reset through the Fetch Menu interface

  1. Enter Fetch Main menu

  2. Select Manage then go down to settings

  3. Select Device Info in the Far right Side of the menu

  4. Select Soft Factory reset

  5. Enter Pin and Continue

Soft reset using your remote control

Turn off your Fetch TV box then turn it back on. When the first screen appears (about 10 seconds into the start-up process) begin pressing the following buttons on your remote control in order.

Red, Green, Yellow, Blue individually from Left to Right

 

Once this is successful the light on the fetch box will start flashing and the Fetch Box will reset.

 

Factory Reset

This will restore your Fetch box to factory settings, and will clear all series tags, messages, recordings and downloads.

Factory reset through the Fetch Menu Interface

  1. Enter Fetch Main menu

  2. Select Manage then go down to settings

  3. Select Device Info in the Far right Side of the menu

  4. Select Factory settings reset

  5. Enter Pin and Continue

 

Warning: This will delete ALL recorded content, settings, series tags and messages.

Factory reset using your remote control

Turn off your Fetch TV box then turn it back on. When the first screen appears (about 10 seconds into the start-up process) begin pressing the following buttons on your remote control in order.

Blue, Yellow, Green, Red individually from Right to Left

 

Once this is successful the light on the fetch box will start flashing and the Fetch Box will reset.

Warning: This will delete ALL recorded content, settings, series tags and messages.

Setting parental level

Use the directional keys to set the parental level you want and press 'select'.

 

Parental PIN

By default the parental PIN is 0000. We recommend that you change this as soon as you activate your FetchTV service.

The PIN allows you to block certain channels and any downloaded content based on it's classification.

It is also required to access may of the set top box settings, and is required when making a purchase.

 

Changing your PIN

  1. On your remote control: Press 'Menu' to access the main menu.

  2. Using the navigation buttons: Select 'Manage' then 'Settings'

  3. In the Settings menu, select 'Parental Controls'

  4. Select 'Parental PIN Change'

  5. Enter your existing PIN (default is 0000)

  6. Select and enter a new PIN

  7. Confirm the new PIN

Internet speed requirements

In order for your FetchTV unit to run correctly you will need a minimum internet speed of 3Mbps.

To test your speed please use any of the speedtest tools available online.
