Get a replacement remote

If you need to replace your FetchTV remote control, please visit the official FetchTV Store on ebay.

Self help - No internet detected 

If you see a "No internet detected" on your set top box, troubleshoot by following the below steps.

 

  1. Ensure your modem/router is powered on
  2. Check your internet service is working correctly
  3. Ensure you have an Ethernet connection from the router to the fetch set-top box
  4. Power cycle both the set-top box (turn off for 10 seconds and turn back on again, click here for instructions) and modem/router
  5. Disconnect from any Powerline Adapter devices and connect Fetch Set Top Box directly to the modem/router
  6. Try different Ethernet ports on the modem/router
  7. Try a different Ethernet cable
  8. Reset your Fetch TV box (click here for instructions)

Free to air channel issues

If you are having issues with local free to air channels, try to following.

 

  1. Power cycle your Fetch Box (turn it off for 10 seconds and turn it back on, click here for instructions)

  2. Ensure your Antenna is securely connected to the Antenna port of the Fetch Box

  3. Ensure you have clear TV reception when connecting the Antenna directly to the TV (If the reception is poor you may have an antenna or cable issue)

  4. Perform a Channel Scan

  5. Ensure your channels are not Hidden (Channels > Manager Channels)

  6. Reset your Fetch Box (click here for instructions)

Blank screen or no display detected

If you have a blank screen try the following steps.

 

  1. Check RCA/HDMI cables are connected properly

  2. Ensure you are on the correct AV/HDMI channel

  3. Try different RCA/HDMI cables

  4. Power cycle your Fetch Box (turn it of for 10 seconds and turn it back on, click here for instructions)

  5. Try your RCA/HDMI cables on another device (e.g. DVD player)

  6. Reset your Fetch Box (click here for instructions)

Image quality issues

If your picture is pixelated or unclear while viewing try the following steps.

 

  1. Power cycle your Fetch box (turn it off for 10 seconds and turn it back on, click here for instructions)

  2. Check all streaming channels

  3. Ensure your internet speed check is above 3Mbps (refer to Speedtest)

  4. Power cycle your modem (turn it off for 10 seconds and then turn it back on)

  5. Bypass any Powerline Adapter devices

  6. Reset Fetch Box (click here for instructions)

 

Power cycle your Fetch box

If you need to power cycle you box, simply turn it off at at the power socket or locate and remove the power cable (back left corner of the unit) for 10 seconds, then re-connect to complete the power cycle.

Resetting your Fetch box

If you continue to have issues and need to rest your Fetch box, please follow the steps below.

After a reset, you’ll need to re-enter your Activation Code in the Welcome Screen.

 

Soft Reset

This will clear system file and restart the user interface, it will not affect your recordings.

Soft Factory reset through the Fetch Menu interface

  1. Enter Fetch Main menu

  2. Select Manage then go down to settings

  3. Select Device Info in the Far right Side of the menu

  4. Select Soft Factory reset

  5. Enter Pin and Continue

Soft reset using your remote control

Turn off your Fetch TV box then turn it back on. When the first screen appears (about 10 seconds into the start-up process) begin pressing the following buttons on your remote control in order.

Red, Green, Yellow, Blue individually from Left to Right

 

Once this is successful the light on the fetch box will start flashing and the Fetch Box will reset.

 

Factory Reset

This will restore your Fetch box to factory settings, and will clear all series tags, messages, recordings and downloads.

Factory reset through the Fetch Menu Interface

  1. Enter Fetch Main menu

  2. Select Manage then go down to settings

  3. Select Device Info in the Far right Side of the menu

  4. Select Factory settings reset

  5. Enter Pin and Continue

 

Warning: This will delete ALL recorded content, settings, series tags and messages.

Factory reset using your remote control

Turn off your Fetch TV box then turn it back on. When the first screen appears (about 10 seconds into the start-up process) begin pressing the following buttons on your remote control in order.

Blue, Yellow, Green, Red individually from Right to Left

 

Once this is successful the light on the fetch box will start flashing and the Fetch Box will reset.

Warning: This will delete ALL recorded content, settings, series tags and messages.

Internet speed requirements

In order for your FetchTV unit to run correctly you will need a minimum internet speed of 3Mbps.

To test your speed please use any of the speedtest tools available online.
